Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently midway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial significant honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
